We were recently contacted by our client in Wakefield to help diagnose an issue to an interior wall to the dining area – as can be seen in the photograph the damage is quite extensive considering this wall was only plastered by another contractor only a few weeks ago
It was apparent to our surveyor that this wasn’t a simple damp issue

Our technicians arrived on site and removed the plaster from the wall to see if this would help diagnose rectified he issue correctly – on removal it was apparent that the brickwork was excessively wet – bricks were removed to this area and sure enough there was pipework installed to the cavity of the wall which looked to have been leaking for quite some time.
A plumbing contractor was called out and the leak rectified quickly.
The bricks were then reinstated.
Due to the damage caused to the brickwork it was then necessary to install cavity drain membrane to the wall.
Plasterboards were then installed and skimmed and the skirting boards refitted.
All done in a day including the plumbing repair.
